Highways England

Highways England have signed an agreement with GroupBC to provide a client-side common data environment (CDE.) The BC Enterprise platform is supporting £15Bn of investment in Highways England Smart Motorways, Complex Infrastructure and Regional Infrastructure Programmes. Already established on the Smart Motorways Programme, the use of BC Enterprise is currently being extended to the other major Programmes and the Highways England supply chain, supporting the verified control of project information deliverables. BC Enterprise was procured through G-Cloud 9 – the Governments Digital Marketplace.


ALIGN, the joint venture (JV) of Bouygues ConstructionSir Robert McAlpine, and VolkerFitzpatrick, has chosen the BC CDE on Phase One of the HS2 project. This BIM level 2 project requires a common data environment (CDE) to control the flow of information from their design partners, Jacobs and Ingerop. ALIGN JV are responsible for the design and build of a key section of Phase One of the HS2 high-speed rail network between London and Birmingham. The £965m 22km section will run between the Colne Valley and the Chilterns and includes the 3.4km- long Colne Valley Viaduct, as well as the 15.8km-long Chiltern twin-tunnels.

Cameron + Ross, the Aberdeen & Inverness based structural and civil engineering consultants have selected BC Enterprise as a company and project information management solution. The cloud-based BC Enterprise platform will support the management and delivery of the companies UK wide projects, whilst providing information security and project productivity. Founded in 1993, their clients range from local government bodies; education and healthcare industries; development companies and organisations; builders and contractors; architects; and individual private domestic clients.
