EDF Energy chose BC for collaboration with their European partners
EDF Energy have recently chosen Business Collaborator (BC) to facilitate collaboration with their French counterparts, CIT, in the construction of a new £300 million Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Station.
EDF Energy is one of the UK’s major energy companies. An integrated energy
provider, EDF Energy is involved in all parts of the electricity supply chain – generation, distribution, and supply. EDF Energy employs over 11,000 staff in the UK and is part of EDF Group, one of the world’s largest energy companies and a world leader in power generation.
The construction of the new gas-fired power station will be at their existing power station site at West Burton. BC was chosen on the strength of its construction focus, beating off competition from e-rooms and EDF’s own in-house collaboration system in the tender process. The 100-user licence provides guaranteed monthly rental with the possibility of openings into other projects.
EDF Energy also manages Combined Heat and Power operations at Heathrow, Imperial College in London, and on the Barkantine Estate on the Isle of Dogs as well as owning, operating and developing a number of on shore wind farms.
EDF Energy joins our other leading utility clients including Thames Water, United Utilities and Southern Water (4Delivery).
