benoy architects / white city
In 2002, Chelsfield, the original developers of the £1.6 billion WhiteCity Centre (now known as Westfield London) were keen to use a web collaboration tool and BC was chosen after a thorough selection process by Benoy Architects.
Major factors taken into consideration included financial stability, Audit Trail, and Customisation. BC was the document communications strategy for the design phase, and printing and postal costs are estimated to have decreased to 10% of what would normally be expected.
Benoy, users of BC since 2001, appreciate BC's flexible approach to collaboration and the fact that it follows their processes, rather than forcing unfamiliar processes onto users. Like all architects, they prefer having the option of printing out large CAD drawings, commenting directly on them, and then being able to scan them back into BC and attach them to the original issue, whilst integration with Brava! viewer allows clients without specialist CAD software to view and comment on designs.
